Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels resulting from insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency. It is the most common form of diabetes, accounting for over 90% of all diabetes cases worldwide. Unlike Type 1 diabetes, the pancreas still produces insulin in Type 2, but the body’s cells do not respond to it effectively.
